NETWORKING TOGETHER
Early December 2006 this networking thing really came together for me.......David from Business Link, our REG co-ordinator, organised for me to run a sales and marketing training workshop for a group of farmers who operate B+B and self catering accommodation from their farms.
With Meryl's help the event at Rabley Barn and I asked one of the members of my book group if they could provide the lunch.
I invited James Miles Hobbs to join us for lunch and he had the opportunity to network with a few new contacts for his farm diversification consultancy.
I have met David, Meryl and James all through networking!

COUSINS REUNITED!
Once upon a time Nina met a friend from her village book group for a coffee in Devizes. She told me her husband had just helped to set up a new executive car service and that she had been roped in to help with the marketing! I "introduced" them to Roger from Travelstar UK. Not only are they now doing business together but it turns out they are distant cousins!

A client in Devon which is applying for permission from the local authority to provide dry dock services to the local fishing fleet to save boats travelling hundreds of miles to the nearest existing dry dock. Richard Bromley of Ryeden Environmental Consultancy provided very useful statistics to illustrate the substantial reduction in carbon emissions that would result from a local facility. Elliott York Associates has since been retained to provide financial advice.

I recently had an opportunity to refer one of my business coaching clients to a fellow BOB member (Denise Ward of Credit Control Services) as they really needed help with collecting outstanding debts.
Denise has really speeded things up for them. They are a rapidly growing business so keeping on top of cashflow is especially important. In fact, the improvement in cash collection has even meant that my client can repay some of their directors' loans which makes them really happy.
