Networking means you'll never have to make another cold call - ever. (Unless you really want to, of course. Whatever floats your boat.)
Think how lovely it would be if most of your business came from word of mouth, or through referrals from trusted business people who know you, and know the type of client and work you're looking for.
Business Over Breakfast (BOB) provides a forum for networking in a friendly and supportive environment. Members benefit from interacting with like-minded people and have the opportunity to give and gain business through referrals.
BOB's Objectives are:
- to develop business opportunities.
- to share and exchange good business practices.
- to provide a support network for Devizes businesses.
- to provide a safe environment for members to develop their personal business skills.
BoB Members develop their business skills with new training workshops
Training workshops covering Search Marketing and Time Management were recently held for BoB members.
January’s Search Marketing workshop brought 10 BoB members up to speed with the benefits of Search Marketing Techniques including organic and pay per click listings. Real life case studies and practical tips and advice brought this very topical subject to life.

February’s Time Management workshop proved the most popular workshop so far with a total of 14 BoB members attending. Not sure what this says about us all!

BoB Members are currently reviewing future training needs and plan to run some more workshops later in the year. Workshops are free to all members and add real value to membership of the group.

West Wilts Show July 2007
BoB had a very successful three days at the West Wilts Show in July 2007.
Visitors to the stand had a chance to learn more about the group and meet with members in person.
A daily prize draw to win a bottle of Wiltshire Fizz generated lots of interest and because of BoB's "not for profit status" members were interviewed daily on Event Radio Live at 106.8 FM.
"I am so proud of the group . We did this and pulled it off! Members rallied round to organise and "man" the stand and because of everyone's sterling efforts we have managed to raise the awareness of BoB within the local area. It's a great testament to the success of our networking group"

Visitors' Day
Tuesday 18th September 2007
BOB members held a Visitors' Day at the Black Swan, Devizes on September 18th. As always, it was a lively and enjoyable networking meeting and everyone appreciated the excellent buffet breakfast laid on by The Black Swan.
Eight visiting companies were represented, many of whom we first made contact with at the West Wilts Show in July. These included The Wiltshire Music Centre in Bradford on Avon. Susie and Karina from the centre have kindly invited BoB members to attend their next evening networking event. BoB Visitors' Days provide an ideal opportunity to sample business networking, make some local contacts and meet like minded people. It also provides a great insight into how BoB works as group and membership forms are always available for those who feel they would like to join in on a regular basis.
Visitors' Days are held approximately every three months - but if you can't wait, we welcome visitors at any of our Tuesday meetings. We meet twice a month at 7am on the first and third Tuesday of each month. If you would like to visit please contact Denise Ward on 01380 724019.
