Trudy Fisher from Wiltshire Council highlighted the small business rate relief scheme which allows any business with 1 property to claim up to 50% relief on business rates.  She outlined that despite being an ongoing National scheme that many small business owners in the town were still not claiming. 

 

·         Trudy outline that if your properties rateable value is less than £10,000 you may be eligible to claim up to 50% relief on your payment.

·         Between £10000 and £15000 rateable value is also eligible for relief under the scheme.

·         Claims can currently be backdated to April 2007
